discernment

neighborhood kitten, baby songbird in its teeth, underneath spring stars

evening bell

work done for the day calm within this messy house wrists and ankles free

uninsulated

spring night. old house creaks. cold seeps in through the floorboards, smelling of jasmine.

koan study

compare and contrast: stare into the flashlight, or shine it on the road?

rain-taste

crooked as it is what is it that keeps the spine as straight as it is?
