rain-taste

crooked as it is
what is it that keeps the spine
as straight as it is?

e-flat

windy as this night
ain’t no tellin’ who is there
hot, oh man, it’s hot

nature

humans: we’re the rock-
breakers. let’s own it, keep it
simple, stick to it.

new neighbors

silverfish. fresh paint jobs. young folks walking
out at night, relaxed. bright streetlights.
palm trees, high-end cars and strollers. questions:
where are the artists moving?

proud dadú

face-plant off of bench
ends in perfect tuck and roll
“i meant to do that!”
