daylight savings time ii

and who has met a newt, near midnight, dancing
beneath ones toes, while watching orion
dance with the moon and plotting tomorrow’s dances?
give up? the only answer.

daylight savings time

take a break from facebook and look west:
orion’s dancing with the moon.
tomorrow, as you go about your business,
guess who else was watching.

equalization

inspiration strikes as energy wanes
another grand scheme makes food for dreams
energy rises as inspiration sags
at last, the floor is clean

ritual iii

the light chain sound. the bathroom fan. the clink
of coin in piggy bank. the stories
of what we did tonight. the preparations.
sleep, sweet destination.

old ways

sons, nine years apart
see each other once a year
bond with dinosaurs
